Partner Acquisition Manager (Team Leader)

Responsible for sourcing, developing & executing strategic partnerships with merchants that drive the Parentstory business model. This role involves working with Product Managers, Engineers and Marketing dept. to define support needs and processes, providing stellar product service levels to merchants, and ensuring unique and curated activities through varied merchant acquisition. 

  • Work on category planning and business strategy within dept., and maximize quantity
  • Technical project management: Automate and scale the category level growth via new selection, product listing quality and instock
  • Define opportunities to enhance our merchant experience, improve merchandising, and mere experience
  • Strategically grow your categories' revenue (either through higher vendor acquisition or conversion)
  • Managing team’s performance by ensuring each of team member’s productivity, development, and motivation
  • Coach, manage and lead a team of Business Manager: you will act as a coach for your team of business manager, help them reach their KPI through training, strategic thinking, and technical & soft skill mentoring
  • Responsible for portfolio growth through a series of aggressive merchant acquisition and relationship management activities including reviewing and analyzing booking reports for monitoring of sales performance and profitability
  • Manage the Merchant Onboarding process, including creation of, enhancements to and tracking of process to identify and sign new merchant partnerships
  • You will have a team target according to the categories you're handling and the number of business managers in your team that will be adjusted from time to time
  • Strategically grow your categories' revenue (either through higher vendor acquisition or conversion) and at the same time lower merchants churn rate
  • Building a great relationship with partners
  • Manage anchor partner; develop a collaborative and strategic relationship with this partner; develop joint financial goals and align on strategies to meet the goals
  • Draft & update merchant partnership agreements and ensure they are incompliance with company’s policies and procedures as well as legitimate
  • Develop and disseminate usable training materials regarding Parentstory for use by all merchant frontline staff (Merchant Support Process and Guidelines)
  • Monitor competitive pricing to ensure parity for key merchants; obtain Director/VP approval for any recommended retail changes
  • Provide mentorship to merchants on the Business Development team
  • Consolidating a weekly report on reasons for ticket escalations, patterns with any type of system or process failure affecting Merchants, and number of inquiries during on/off/peak hours
  • Conduct other marketplace analysis to optimize Parentstory experience and revenue
  • Communicate feature requests to product managers using data from Helpdesk tickets and merchant feedback 

  • Min. Bachelor degree (S1)
  • Required Min. 3 years of experience in merchant/ vendor/ partner acquisition
  • Required Min. of 1 year managing a team
  • Understanding the industry (e-commerce or parenting) landscape
  • Experience in start-up or similar environment
  • Experience in e-commerce, technology, or similar environment
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, experienced in managing a big team, as well as strong in people development and mentoring / coaching
  • Ability to grow professionally by actively learning and staying up-to-date in areas of expertise.
